After six years of wanting to go to the Clothes Show Live at the NEC in Birmingham, I finally bought tickets and went. I don’t know why it took me so long to go, but I am so so glad I eventually did! I got the train from Milton Keynes Central early on Saturday morning with my friend, Chloe, accompanied by an almond croissant, a latte and my shiny new business cards (exciting stuff). I was a little bit like a kid at Christmas when I got there, particularly after receiving my goodie bag which contained a Clothes Show tshirt, Bailey’s chocolates, a bottle of water, a Glo Worm raspberry and orris drink, a bottle of Freederm Daily Complex, various hair and skin samples and a Models Own nail polish. Not too shabby!

Once I walked into the large venue I found myself surrounded by incredible discounted products and the celebrities that I’ve only ever seen on a television screen before. Within minutes of being there I came across a company called Megawhite who were offering half price teeth whitening. It was a 15 minute session for £30 and seeing as I’d been dying to try something like this for a while now, I went for it. The experience wasn’t too unpleasant, it was a minty goo filled palette (only way I can describe it) that you placed in your mouth, and you then sat in front of an LED light for the duration of the process. At first my teeth were literally glowing (I’m talking TOWIE style teeth), but it did wear off. I can notice a whiter appearance to my front and lower teeth, though not so much my canine teeth as they’ve always been an issue. I certainly don’t regret getting it done, though I’d possibly use another company next time to see if I had better results.

After a couple of hours of browsing and trying to resist the fantastic deals, we went to watch the Alcatel One Touch Fashion Show. Our seats were upgraded for some reason, leaving us with probably the best seats in the venue to get head on photos of the models, what luck! The show lasted approximately 45 minutes and was unbelievable, I’ve never seen anything like it! The staging and choreography throughout was immaculate. Well done to the team who created such a spectacular fashion show… oh, and the topless male models were a nice touch!! We re-energised with a delicious meal at Whetherspoons and headed back into the building to find ourselves running around like headless chickens trying to get selfies with celebrities (who knew we were such fan girls). During the day we saw Peter Andre, Joey Essex (previously on TOWIE), Sam Faires (previously on TOWIE), Lauren Goodger (previously on TOWIE), Amy Childs (previously on TOWIE), Andy Jordan (MIC), Jamie Laing (MIC), Oliver Proudlock (MIC), Stevie Johnson (MIC), Spencer Matthews (MIC), Alfie Deyes (Vlogger) and Millie Mackintosh (previously on MIC).

Other than my £2 Cosmopolitan magazine that came with a few freebies, I didn’t actually buy too much. Though the one brand I did purchase a few products from will be revealed in another post, so keep your eyes peeled for that next week! We had immense amounts of fun at the Clothes Show Live and I am already certain I’ll be revisiting the event in 2015. After a long and jam packed train journey home I spent the evening tweeting pictures of some of the celebrities we saw and rummaging around in the goodie bag seeing what freebies there were. All I can say is roll on next year’s event!
