It suddenly hit me on Monday morning that Spring is officially here, meaning that summer is in fact only twelve weeks away. I used to be more of a winter person, but over the last few years summer has become my absolute favourite season, though only when it’s actually hot and sunny of course – fingers crossed England gets it right this year. From the warm evening walks to the pub, to lazy Saturdays in the garden with a BBQ cooking beside you, it’s perfection. And no matter how you choose to spend the warmer weeks, they’re guaranteed to fill you with positive and adventurous vibes.
Over the past couple of years I let the weight pile on, meaning popping out in a summery top and shorts was not happening even when the temperatures soared. But having spent the past year working my behind off at the gym and eating clean, I’m finally getting somewhere (as you may have seen from my Insta transformation pic the other day). I still have a fair way to go, but I’ve made some real progress which I couldn’t be more proud of. A few more cardio sessions and weighted squats and I’ll be well on my way to success, which I will celebrate by buying a nice new summer wardrobe to show off my hard work.
With exactly 88 days to go until summer it’s time to step up my gym game, oh, and refrain from breaking into song and wailing the High School Musical ‘What Time Is It?’ soundtrack in my car every day. Don’t let summer creep up on you without being prepared, twelve weeks is more than enough time to make a difference that’ll leave you beach ready!
