On Wednesday, Bloggers and YouTubers from across Milton Keynes flocked towards Lush Cosmetics in order to try out the brand new Summer range, sent direct from Oxford Street. Whether it’s the glitter, the scent or the “pretty-ness” of the products, Lush is that type of brand that just instantly captures the heart of females across the globe. Ever since Milton Keynes gained a Lush store, I’ve spent every shopping trip either wandering from bath bomb to bath bomb – or even simply staring through the window as I walk by completely in love with the mountainous displays of colour and sparkle. Though what I particularly love about Lush is the fact that they create shiny new products for specific seasons and festivals such as Christmas, Halloween and Valentine’s Day. No matter what the occasion, you can guarantee there’s a soap for it.

When we all arrived at Lush for the event, I was so excited and overwhelmed to see just how many Bloggers and Youtubers live in the same area as me. I’d spoken to several of the girls on Twitter during Blogger chats, but I had no idea that three of those I’d recently followed actually lived so close by. Small world, right? After throwing a blob of jelly soap around whilst introducing ourselves (yes, you read that right), we got totally stuck in with the new products and spent the next couple of hours moving around three sections in total – bath, body and shower. With such a vast range of shapes, sizes, colours and scents – there really is something for everyone! I was actually quite surprised at just how many new products they’d released. During shopping trips I never really get the chance to fully explore what Lush has to offer due to the sheer mass of people surrounding the displays, so having time to really get to know the products was fantastic. I could blab on for days about what I loved, but the list would become too long. Though I must say that the Intergalactic Bath Bomb, Salted Coconut Hand Scrub, Maypole Soap and Serendipity Soap are absolute winners. Make sure you check them out during your next store visit!

How I resisted whacking out my credit card at the end I don’t know, it was essentially a civilized stampede in order to fill your baskets up with treats. Sadly for me payday is still weeks away, so I could only treat myself to one item. Though Lush generously put together goodie bags for those who attended which enabled me to get my hands on one product in particular that I desperately wanted after having seen its demonstration earlier on. I’ll be posting Part 2 to this post next week, so keep your eyes peeled to find out what was inside my goodie bag – and also to see what the one item was that I couldn’t resist splashing some cash on.

A huge thank you goes out to the Lush team at Milton Keynes, it’s amazing to see people that are so passionate about what they do. It really was the most perfect first Blogger event for me to attend, and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to go!
