Learning to Cook Greek Cuisine with Jet2 #JetMe2TheGreek

Disclaimer: I was invited to this event by Jet2 Holidays to learn about their new Greek destinations

On Saturday evening I made my way down to London for a very exciting event with Jet2 Holidays! They’ve just launched two new Greek destinations for 2020, Lefkas and Parga, and wanted to showcase both of the new under-the-radar coastal locations by hosting a Greek themed cooking class with 30 bloggers.

The event began with flutes of prosecco and getting to know everyone, before we were whisked off into the Jenius Social kitchen to cook up a feast of tzatziki, Greek salad, souvlaki, stuffed peppers and spanakopita.

I’m not a good cook (and definitely made a hot mess of the spanakopita) but it was such a great way to get to know the other bloggers and the Jet2 team.

Once we’d finished in the kitchen, we moved back into the other room to dine on our Greek dinner with crisp glasses of wine and great company. The food was amazing, and let’s just say I’m glad I wore stretchy trousers!

After the meal, we had a go at a Greek themed quiz. The top prize was a trip to Lefkas or Parga and the runner-up prize was a hamper from Jenius Social. I’m terrible at quizzes so didn’t win, but I did learn a lot. For example, Prince Phillip was born in Corfu. Who knew?

The time I spent at Jet2’s #JetMe2TheGreek event was so much fun, so thank you to Frankie and the team for inviting me along!

I’ve only visited Corfu and Zakynthos before, so now I need to book flights to Preveza Airport to check out Lefkas and Parga for myself. Especially now I’ve had a real taste of their cuisine!

Have you heard of Lefkas or Parga before? What’s your favourite spot in Greece?
